Default cold air intake

I have heard that the intake box is in the same place on both the 4.0l and the 2.4l TJ. Does anybody know if I can use a 4.0l cold air intake on my 2.4l?
Thanks

The Airraid kit locates the air intake in the stock position, eliminating the restrictive stock box and filter. Spectre's kit relocates it to draw from the cowl. Guess it depends on how deep the water is your planning to play in, maybe a snorkle kit is what your looking for? Might want to check out sites advertising used Russian sub parts for a periscope too! lol
