I guess it depends what you're looking for.
In my 2.5 it would just highlight the fact that I'm only powered by 4 gerbils.
I vote stock. Nice and quiet and no annoying drone on long drives.

You got that right. I'd love to drop a V8 into my TJ.
Alas, for mow I'm stuck with the 4.

I put the Banks Monster exhaust on my 2001 4L TJ a month ago.
Did the Airraid cold air intake at the same time. (highly recommend both at same time)

LOVE the sound the exhaust makes. Much better throttle response and acceleration.

You would thing that it would get annoying but really i totally block out the noise and often wonder if its still running at idle sometimes... others have told me it was loud at first but then never complain after a few hours in the back (and this is with a pre-axle dump).

It is best to do Exhaust upgrades if you've done an air intake upgrade.... think of a vacuum cleaner sucking air in and blowing it out... the engine is a pump... its gotta suck in the right about and blow it out to be efficient!
