If there is nothing wrong with the key you wont need a new one, and considering the technoligy used in the key to help stop someone from stealing your car $90 isn't too bad, Some cars I have had to make keys fo cost a lot more than that, the new Subaru keys you will be looking at $300 and up, and Landrovers over $400.

That's why I like my low tech 98 TJ with the broken ignition lock.
I can take my key out while it's running, lock the doors, run into the dep, pick up a 2-4, and never have any worries.
And I've had windows replaced FOC and my insurance never went up.
