2008 sahara content theft alarm question

2008 sahara content theft alarm question
HI
I'm a pround owner of a brand new 2008 Sahara Unlimited. I've been trying to find more on the alarm system that it comes with but can't find what i'm looking for. Hopefully someone can help.
It's great that it comes with an alarm but please correct me if i'm wrong but the fact that the hood is not part of the security couldn't anyone just open the hood and disconect the battery, then brake into your jeep?
(i do have a hood lock on order) I had a 1992 YJ for 8 years and never even thought about it, but now with my sahara with the Naivigation system it got me thinking.

Hey 08 Unlimited,
I got the rescue green. Because it was an 08 and on the lot and got a fantastic deal i didn't have much of a choice.
I probably would havegone for the darker green but this one is really growing on me fast and love it! How agout you?

Well i went and got the mopar hood lock installed at the dealership. I was going to go for the
cheaper one and put on myself but i'm glad i got this one. A lot more $ but much better quality.
Well worth the piece of mind.

I would suggest getting an aftermarket one. It's what im going to do when i get the cash together. Have been looking at the viper car alarm/starter, 2way, so it'll vibrate in my pocket if anything going on, along with sound the alarms.. with the hard top on im not so worrried, but when i switch the the softop, and movement and i wanna know.

The mopar was the one i put on but had the dealership install. It needed to be rivetted on,
plus if anything goes wrong with it, they can fix :) I wrote to Chrystler and was sent 50.00 from Mopar. Deffinately good peice of mind (maybe even dollars in the long run)
