Do a goggle search type in jeep tj 2005 and go from there to check prices, also there must be a free magazine in your area with car/trucks for sale check it out too for prices. What is his asking price? What equipment is on it? Is it a rubicon? Has it been used for offroading? Crawl underneath and look up to see for dents in the oil pan, check the looseness on the drive shafts, the wheel joints, leaking fluids. If you have a buddy thats a mechanic (some one u can trust to give u straight answers) Take it on the road make sure it shifts smoothly, put it in 4 high on the fly (not too fast) and back out again. Go on a dirt or snow road and try 4 low but for that be stopped or you will have trouble.I wud ask him to go with u and check it out. Post a little more info on it And don't forget: Do a back ground check on the title/vin number BEFORE you sign any papers or make a payment on it. Others members will reply read them all and then decide.

the dealer wants $11,500, its in mint shape, looks damn near new. no obvious wear and tear. looked underneath and see no dents. not a rubicon, transfer case and tranny shift smooth as silk. everything works as it should and no klunks, moans or grinds
cheers guys,
Alistair

Sounds good its probably got the 2.5 litre motor which is a little better than the 2.4 which they had in the older 4 cy. It also should have disc brakes on the rear too and 4.11 gearing which again will help that extra weather on the road or off. Does it have the 2 tops soft and hard top? If you get it post a picture in your album so we can see it please
