I bought my 2001 TJ SE new. Four cylinder with a 5 speed manual transmission. I hadn't done much to it maintenance wise outside of the normal oil changes and tires. It's got 250,000k on the odometer. Two years ago I had the front fenders replaced and front end painted for $2,000. I picked up my Jeep from our local mechanic, the other day, who replaced bearings, shocks, U-joints, fluids, brakes and a few other odds and ends for $2,500.
$4,500 for 20 years. $225 per year.
I'm a happy Jeeper.
