Default 1/2 doors

I was wondering if anyone knows if a 1989 YJ half doors will fit on a 97 TJ.
I am only planning on using them while running topless as the Gfriend dosen't like riding without a door.... she has the fallout phobia.

They are not a "Bolt-on"' fit if that's what you are looking for. So Yes it can be done. They fit and they close but they won't latch.*The latch mechanism is diffent which requires different mounting hardware.

Also, the location of the inner door handles is a bit cumbersome being right up next to the dash on the TJ.
