Hi Folks

Hoping to get some input on a good replacement battery for my 03 Rubi. She still has the original battery, but getting tired so figured I will replace now instead of waiting for a -20 day in Feb. when it fails.

My options locally are products from Canadian tire, Napa, Carquest and the stealership.

Any glowing recommendations or horror stories?

Go to Napa and get the biggest one that will fit in the space available. That's what I did.

 

Yellowtop all the way my friend. Should be able to get them through most 4x4 shops

 

Something to think about maybe is most auto batteries are assumming living in a nice comfy car on the road. A Jeep or any offroad vehical is subjucted to a different enviroment (shock and vibration) not to mention a big drain if you have a winch. I might be inclined to think a 1000mca marine battery.

 

Bought a Kal Tire Gold Top, dual Post, 880cca ~ couldnt be happier.
If I could find a P4 Platnium in Canada, I would have bought that one !

I ended up going with the Deka Intimidator (sold through CarQuest branded as NGT Extreme).
