Sounds right. the noise does seem to be coming from underneth the
driver seat, right where the Universal joints are. and when I looked
at them they are whereing a nice coat of rust and crud.

Sounds right. the noise does seem to be coming from underneth the
driver seat, right where the Universal joints are. and when I looked
at them they are whereing a nice coat of rust and crud.

Checked that too but those accually have a slower different noise that
goes away when the brakes are pressed. this noise does not stop unless
the vehicle is not moving and when its moving it seems to be in sync
with the drive shaft, which rotates faster than the wheels, right? Ill
be pulling out the U Joints this weekend.

Turns out that it was the ball joint thats in the middle of the double
cardan joint. it just needed some grease and a cleaning.
