I would stay away from soap as soap can tend to break down plastic over
time. I used to be a polyethylene R&D guy and we used a soap+water (Igepal
specifically) solution to test failure rates due to breakdown of the
molecular weight of the poly backbone chains making it embrittled. I would
go with the wax.
