Re: for your viewing pleasure
Don't think that's true - they certainly built a LandRover / Jeep hybrid
with a Landy body on a Jeep frame as part of a "joint venture" thingy, but abandoned it. Dave Milne, Scotland '99 TJ 4.0 Sahara "Nathan W. Looks like I can contact them and get your ass into some royal trouble due to unauthorized copyright infringement, huh? You brainless hick, didn't you learn your lesson when you lost against DC? Obviously not. -- Nathan W. Collier http://7SlotGri11e.com |

Hi Dave,
Don't feel bad, the '66 production Bronco was all CJ-5 Jeep running gear, except for Ford's 260-289" V8. You let me know when you find a commercial truck that doesn't use the channel frame. The channel section type frame is made to flex for a reason and not weak at all. Strength and sturdiness are not the same. Kevlar is so strong because it stretches. Commercial vehicles use this same design to allow for flex. The Jeep's frame has designed-in flexing. |
Re: for your viewing pleasure
Hi Sandman,
The frames are case harden, like the old Jeeps, from the Department of Transportation: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rulesregs/f...s/393.201.htm# "All accessories mounted to the truck tractor frame must be bolted or riveted." Yep, I've welded springs too. God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ "Nathan W.
