XJ's and aftermarket Sunroofs...

Is there any problems associated with getting an aftermarket sunroof
for a 97 XJ? I was reading that it could destabilize it somehow?

Only if you try to stand while driving.

Actually the only problem with aftermarket sunroofs (or any sunroof)
is leaking.

I have an aftermarket roof on a CJ that I absolutly hate! Everytime it
rains I get wet.

Re: XJ's and aftermarket Sunroofs...

Because of the unibody type frame on the XJ, unlike the frame on a
CJYJTJ, some people claim it weakens the structure to put a big hole in
the roof. Also, the roof has ridges which make sealing a sunroof
somewhat of a challenge. There are some XJs that don't have ridges all
the way forward to the sunroof area, but most do.
