In our F- Two Fitty it has a stock stereo, that sounds heads above the
premium system in my TJ
I have all the speakers, Sirius and the 6 disk changer. (MAN I miss the
controls on the steering wheel from the Liberty!)
Satellite radio is the bomb. When I first heard about it I thought it was
stupid. "Why pay for something you can get for free" It turns out, it is
something I am definitely willing to pay for. In the area where we live we
only get about three stations, and two of them play religious music. Ok a
slight exaggeration but the local stations are poor.
BUT
With the top off, you can't tell the difference one from the other.
I happen to have especially sensitive hearing. I wish God had given me a
great figure instead of great hearing, but those are the cards I was given
so.... I like to hear things that are nice and clear with a well rounded
bass.

Just curious.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Who's your favorite musician?

Re: wrangler speakers....
You've GOT to be kidding. How in the world could the dealer use ANY kind of
a "thingy" to adjust the equalization curve of the audio output of the
radio????
And, No, I don't believe any of that garbage about huge speaker wire - OR
oak encased bricks or cement blocks to put on top of my home receiver or amp
to "dampen out distortion". I'll never understand those people or some of
the bizarre things they come up with to enhance sound quality.

Re: wrangler speakers....
I'M NOT KIDDING!!!!
The DRB-III analyzer sets the factory radio.
When you have the premium speaker system
there is a cabin equalization curve for that
speaker system.
When I bought my 05TJRubie new, the radio
display was screwing up. The dealer replaced
it. I then noticed that the radio sounded worse
than the original one. At first I thought that
this particular radio was just plain crap.
Then I read through the "factory service manual"
and there is a note saying if the radio sounds bad
to check the "cabin equalization curve" for the appropriate
speaker system. I then called the dealer right away,
they never heard of it, but after they looked into it
and found that indeed it needs to be set and chances are the
replacement radio wasn't set properly. they instructed to bring it in
to set it right, whilst the technician figures out how to do it. :-)
Cheers

Cheers
