Wrangler Hardtop
After a long hot summer, the rainy season has arrived and I have put up the
soft top. Since it has been down soo long it is really dirty on the inside.
I also have noticed a hole that needs to be fixed. Does anyone have any
suggestions on a chemical that will clean the inside, and also what kind of
patch to use???
Thanks

Re: Wrangler Hardtop
Duct tape tends to first get gooey in hot sun, then it hardens and pulls
loose and in all instances leaves cruft behind.
The best patches will use a combination of glue and stitch of a small
matching patch across the hole. I've done several across the years,
some looked much better than others. The kits are available online
from folks such as JC Whitney, etc. They appear to all come from the
same vendor.
You might want to check the local YP for shops that do vinyl roof,
convertible tops, unless you are a heck of a lot better than the average
bear, they'll do a better job at reasonable cost.
For cleaners, there are several, I had good luck with Mothers but
probably because that was what I picked up first. Pull the thing and
turn it inside out. An old toothbrush or similar helps scrub without
being tough enough to scar the fabric. Plan on getting sopping wet.
