Re: wiring a XJ hitch
Yup and yup.
Can't lay flat without my stomach contents coming up into my mouth. I
just thought it was a reaction to all the damn drugs they have me on,
but a new Doctor didn't think so and now my Doctor agrees, so more
tests....

Re: wiring a XJ hitch
There are a couple things that help with that.
The first is a prescription medication called Carafate ( Sucralfate) which
has the property of 'foaming', the foam floats on top of the stomach
contents and helps block the acid and enzymes from bubbling or leaking into
your esophagus which is what is causing the burning / damage.
It also appears to promote healing by an additional mechanism
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/dru...ation/DR202533
There is a non-prescription antacid called Gaviscon that contains "alginate"
(alginic acid + sodium bicarbonate that has the same effect.
It used to be 100% alginate which made it great for reflux but wasn't a very
good antacid so you had to take a separate product for that. They 'new &
improved' it so the reflux properties are now an after thought instead of a
primary concern.
