wireless remotes for winches

Re: wireless remotes for winches
Considering the number of times I've accidentally set off an auto
alarm, about that time the battery fails and I can't get it turned off.
I wouldn't chance it. I like the idea of the cable remote, though.

If someone else's remote, or an aircraft, or anything else starts the winch
when you aren't ready, you could lose fingers.
I'll stick with a 20 Ft cord.

That reminds me, about twenty years ago Camp Pendleton Marine Corp.
base did something that opened about half the garage doors and jammed
the rest, for twenty miles around.
