where to get info on 4.2 to 4.0L swap
Where can I get info, articles, etc, about replacing the old 4.2 with the
newer 4.0L H.O.?
I am planning on doing this on my 89 YJ..
Does anyone have a good complete 4.0 H.0. for sale, somewhere near ontario,
Canada?
Thanks for your help..

Re: where to get info on 4.2 to 4.0L swap
4WD & Sports Utility Magazine, Vol 20 #10, Oct 2004, pg 43 has a little
quickie article which may be a good place to start.
I am getting closer each day to having to make a decision for my sons '89YJ.
I continue to change my mind about once/week between
Chevy 350
Stroker
4.0
just rebuild the old 4.2
I keep thinking that a 350 would not cost much more to put in than a stroker
or even a 4.0 - have more power & probably give @ least, the same if not
better, fuel mileage.

Re: where to get info on 4.2 to 4.0L swap
Get a stock chevy 350 V8 with a transmission. I know of a person who did
this long ago and he could do wheelie's!
Not much more money to do as you have to do your engine and trasmission
anyway and you might get some of your money back if you ever sell it.
