the battery died in my daughters jeep so i found a tractor battery that fit in
front under the hood and with a little wire magic
it was the fastest on the street

See if you can get one of those 48V scootabout chairs at a local
salvation army store. (some are broken but most just have bad
batteries). The motor and drive train out of one of those would make
an awesome electric toy jeep. You would probably need a roll cage because
of the weight, but they sure do move.
Long time back one of my coworkers built two of those into a recliner.
Silliest damn thing you ever saw, but it moved. One motor powers each
side so it worked like a tank. One of these days I might get out there
and take some pictures.
