Temporarily upping the octane for climbing mountains/hills wouldn't be a bad
idea at all... it'l help reduce the pinging that can happen when the engine
is under load at altitude. Run 87 the rest of the time though since higher
octane doesn't really do anything for normal driving in a 4.0L Jeep engine.

gasoline are needed to maintain the fifteen to one ratio. Of course,

I do use premium, like Jerry suggested to climb the mountains out
of California, because I ping normally on hard acceleration at sea
level, and can't stand to let a Japanese car pass me. That means drive
about ten miles an hour faster than on the coast, at eighty five.
