Re: U-Joint replacement problem
No prying involved, I do use a screwdriver, but just tap it with a
small hammer, and the ring would pops out.

Re: U-Joint replacement problem
I squeeze the ring with diagonal pliers, and lift it out. If it is stuck,
then a tap or two with the screwdriver and hammer usually knocks it loose.

Re: U-Joint replacement problem
Me and these pliers don't get along, I put it together with just
the screwdriver, cupping the area in case it springs loose, and popping
the end of the screwdriver with my palm, usually pops into place first
try.

Re: U-Joint replacement problem
For some reason, every time I try and do it right the snap ring pliers
slip at just the right spot for whatever I had in them to fly to
deepest, darkest corner of the garage. Maybe it comes from using a
screw driver for so long...
