u-hell has had a policy against renting to any soft top vehicle owner for a
long time. their "hookup" catalogue has a warning to dealers on every page that lists a soft top available vehicle. The dealer manual cites inadequate rollover protection as the reason. It seems that in their opinion the 26 gauge sheetmetal of a KIA roof is going to fare better in a rollover than any bar equipped vehicle. Who knows where their logic comes from... besides, have you ever rented any of their junk and not had it be total rubbish? I think they use the 10% rule... if 10% of the lights come on, it fine.
