twin stick shifter for xfer case

Is the purpose of this to allow you to run 2WD low? Like with one
stick you have 2WD(high), and 4WD(high and low) but with the two stick
shifter you can also do 2WD low? I've bought some books and am
reading through them and will probably hit the answer to this soon,
but I've been wondering about this for a few days now. Thanks for
putting up with the newbie questions.

Or front only, Real Jeeps with the Dana 18 use a lock out pin to
keep their Jeepers from using High rear and low front together.

If you have manual hubs, you already have 2 wd low.

Yes. In addition to the normal selections of 2 and 4 Hi and 4Lo, you also
get 2Lo and 2Lo FWD, for a total of 5 different selections.
