Maybe getting close...

The stick on mine looks a *whole lot* like this one:

With the wider part near the tranny.

But mine has an external slave and the article mentions that they moved it
outside in 1989 on the 4.0... mine's 1986 2.5.

I'm thinking it's an Aisin of some kind now.
Maybe an AX-4?

turn out to be the AX 15 let me know as mine is sitting on garage floor
right now so I think I could find the fill plug for you, take a pic if you

It's a 1986 2wd, 4 speed, 2.5 liter fuel injection. (the throttle body
injector)
