I've never actually driven one, so I'd trust your experience more than
my understanding. However, assuming the Tru-Lok behaves like a Truetrac,
others claim different experiences with a free-spinning wheel:

Maybe the Tru-Lok works a little differently. Maybe your brake caliper
is dragging a bit. Either way, I like your Tru-Lok story. I've got a
lightly used one in the basement lined up for my imminent D44 rear end swap.
And I like parking in ditches too, full lot or not.

there was no need to. the way it was parked it had one rear wheel off the
