TJ speakers in YJ?

Re: TJ speakers in YJ?
TJ speakers don't fit anything else. Though they are 4x6, they are not
a "standard" 4x6 size so they won't fit anywhere else without something
being modified. Besides, they're not worth the effort to install them
in another vehicle... especially a YJ that is such a royal PITA to
install front speakers into.

Re: TJ speakers in YJ?
Sorry to hear this,,, my front left speaker is blown and replacement is
necessary.
Is it the mounting hole placement on the speakers that is critical? Or just
the whole procedure of removing dash that is the PITA?

Re: TJ speakers in YJ?
Both removing the dash is a PITA and so is mounting an odd-size speaker.
I would forget the TJ 4x6 speaker, it would require modification to
get it mounted into your YJ. Besides, you can find aftermarket 4x6
speakers that are adequate for a Jeep (great speakers are a waste in a
noisy Jeep) for not much $$$.
