TJ lube door, tailgate, hood hinges?
I was flipping through the owner's manual ('02 TJ), I was
doing my 12,000 mile servicing, and saw that they recommend
periodically lubing the door, tailgate and hood hinges.
Anybody do this? If so, how and how often? I can't see
any good way to get any lube in there. Okay, yes the doors
come off and could be done then, but what about the
tailgate and hood?
How about lubing the locks? How often should that be
done? JELo '02 TJ Sport

Re: TJ lube door, tailgate, hood hinges?
Radio Shack has these nice little oilers with teflon carrying
oil that work great. The newer ones have a woosie plastic
tip, the older ones have a genuine needle tip. The best
precision oilers I have are hypodermic needles and use
a jojoba based watch oil, courtesy of days servicing IBM
printer hardware.
