TJ gas tank modification question

LOL!
DC went cheap and only put one size tank in a bunch of YJ's and TJ's.
If you ordered the smaller tank, they just put the fuel filler shut off
vent down into the tank deeper.
This 'vent' is not a vent really it is only in use when filling up the
tank to let air out, then gas. When gas reaches it, it sends gas up to
the filler nozzle shutting it off which implies the tank is full.
The modification only sets it up like the larger tank.
"The vapor canister is filled with gas?" What kind of BS crap is that?
Jeeps have a check valve and an anti roll over valve on the canister
line so the vapor tank cannot fill up with gas even if you roll over!!!!
I don't know what they teach 'mechanics' these days, but really....

Small correction - they went cheap and put a 19 gallon tank in. 340 miles
before it hits the red ? What sort of decision was that ? A 25 gallon one
would have been more like it ! At least give us a decent 400 miles + range..
