Re: TJ Codes
Hi Joe,
You need another cycle of "off on" There is about a six month
period where Daimler thought Americas were too stupid to monitor their
own car, but most of the time we just don't give it enough time for the
computer to make it's diagnoses. Rather than blinking engine light it
may be read from the digital odometer (if you have) as in: Turn the
ignition key until the digital odometer displays, repeat three times in
succession and then back to "On" On/Off, On/Off, On/Off, On). At the
fourth "On" the odometer will be replaced with codes. If no codes are
present then "Done" will appear. Some you may have reset the trip
odometer and read it: http://www.allpar.com/fix/80s-codes.html or:
http://www.wjjeeps.com/faultcodes.htm Otherwise it's a four hundred
dollar OBD-11 scanner.

I just did that and after a couple of tries I got it right...
It displayed the codes 12 and 55.
Now I'm going to try and find out what they mean...

"Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 Key-on
cycles."
Is this accurate? Also what does this mean? What's a PCM?
