TJ Clutch
'99 TJ. The plastic fastener holding the clutch pedal to the clutch
cylinder actuator (is what the FSM calls it anyway hehehe) broke
today, leaving me in a lurch at a busy intersection. Long story, not a
lot of fun. Anyway, I called the dealer (two of them actually) and it
appears that the plastic fastener is only available as part of the
entire clutch unit. Go figure. I currently have a nut and bolt combo
holding the two together. Got me home, but I'm not real happy with the
solution.
Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, what was your solution?
Only thing I can come up with at this point is hit the wrecking yard
and see if I can get one from another TJ.
