Thought it was a bad fan switch.....
The fan in my CJ (YJ fan come to think about it..it's a YJ tub) has only one
working speed (high). I replaced the switch and same thing. The plug matches
up to the switch but now that I think about it...are they incompatable???

Re: Thought it was a bad fan switch.....
You have a burned out resistor pack.
It is in the heater box in the passenger foot well just above the fresh
air vent.
They are cheap and easy to change.
When blown, only the high works because it doesn't use any resistors.

Re: Thought it was a bad fan switch.....
Hey thanks Mike. Great diagnosis. Can you explain that a bit better...there
is a part of my unit that is missing...it is the box in the passenger side
that covers the actual heater motor...has some vents on it. I've noticed
something strange though up above the heater motor...has what appears to be
a coil of some sort...like you'd see in an electric heater..with wires
attached to it. Does that have anything to do with it? I'm a bit confused
what I'm looking for...part and location.
Thanks!
