None of the bitchen things ever happen to me, just repeatedly
finding myself out of hours on both log books, a hundred miles away from
home, and no way around the scales every Friday. I found many flaws in
the TV series, like rolling down hill with no air pressure.

The "smoke belching Mack" is sadly a thing of the past. Mack was
bought by Volvo and the venerable inline six with the gap between 3 and
4 cylinders and a Bosch style jerk pump is going to be retired shortly
if it's even still made. It was a rattling old thing but it was much
beloved by truckers and stationary users alike.
The Mack is gone, DDA is getting rid of Series 60 for a MBZ engine,
and Cat is pricing itself out of the fleet market because gullible OOs
will pay to much. Soon the Cummins will be the last American truck
diesel.

You didn't pick up female hitch hikers in bikinis every week with ensuing
hiJinks such as smuggling elephants across state lines?
Hmmm Was that BJ & the bear?
