Things showing their age.
Ol' Jeepnstein is getting a little rough around the edges these days.
Other than the usual mechanical aghes and pains and a raggedy top that
must be replaced before winter it's nothing I can't handle.
One thing I'm puzzled about, however, is the durned sound deck. The
sub is cutting out, more often than not these days. Has anyone had a
problem with one before? It's been thoroughly abused with weather,
vibration, dirt, and volume levels that border on dumb. Is it time for
a little barnyard engineering on that tasty little plastic box?
It's in a 97 TJ with a stock radio setup. There's not much sense in
doing much more in a Jeep that lives outdoors with the doors and
windows off.
Thanks guys,
J.

I've heard the speakers that they put on boats are good, are at least the
enclosures they use...

Re: Things showing their age.
I put poly speakers in my CJ7 6 years ago and they have been open to the
air more than they have been covered almost. They still work great.
