Thermostat Stuck OPEN?

If the radiator was low on coolant, it might overheat, but low coolant would
not be a cause of slow warmup. Sounds like your thermostat is stuck open or
stuck partially open.
I just replaced my thermostat with a Stant Superstat thermostat, but any
brand name good quality thermostat with the right temp range will do.

While you are replacing the thermostat, you might as well flush the system
and add fresh coolant at the same time.

When modern thermostats fail, they are designed to fail in the open
