They do sell the 'fail safe' thermostats. I have one in and they/it
works for sure because I ran her hot and have full flow on a cold start
now.

One component to "the right stuff" so far as coolant goes is to only use
distilled water to mix with the coolant. That will keep hard water
(calcium/minerals) from clogging the radiator.

One component to "the right stuff" so far as coolant goes is to only use
distilled water to mix with the coolant. That will keep hard water
(calcium/minerals) from clogging the radiator.
