Hi Frank,
I think if you bought an engine temperature gauge for
Stewart-Warner, or Autometer that have Real numbers on them, you'll find
like all other auto manufacture's yours will be off by at least five
percent. That's what keeps them in business.

By the way I'm really talking degrees not percent.
+/- 1 degree is acceptable
+/- 5 degrees is not.
There's a big difference between +15C and +20C
Same for the negative numbers :-)
