5% is a joke.
Most modern temp sensors are much better than that.

Hi Frank,
I think if you bought an engine temperature gauge for
Stewart-Warner, or Autometer that have Real numbers on them, you'll find
like all other auto manufacture's yours will be off by at least five
percent. That's what keeps them in business.
