Steelhorse Ultratop Install Help!!!!!!
Hi all,
I'm desperate for help. I've been trying to install a steelhorse ultra top,
for use with factory full steel doors on my 2003 TJ, and I'm at a loss. I'm
trying to install the rails on the rear, which house the bow slides. At
the front of this there is a bracket for a vertical support, that comes
right to the edge of the doors. It doesn't seem there is any way to keep
this bracket from interfering with the doors. I'm truly desperate, has
anyone here installed one of these, or can anyone point me to some helpful
links,
TIA
Mark

Aww man..... :-(
Steel horse is usually bad news for fit and holding up. I bought one of
their tops and it disintegrated the first day. All the clips broke.
Metal things from them come rusty right out of the box. Have seen 2 tow
hook sets like that other bought.
Many other folks have had bad enough fits on tops to just try and get
their money back. Just do a google search on steelhorse or
stealhorse...
Sorry I can't offer better advice....

Re: Steelhorse Ultratop Install Help!!!!!!
I agree about SH in general, but I must say, my Super Seats have been
perfect for 3 years (which I bought b4 knowing of their rep).

Get rid of that piece of ---- and buy a real top that works and fits - like
a Bestop. Send it back and get your money back NOW.
Sorry, there's no real advice about Steelhorse crap except not to buy it. It
truly is ----.
