Speaking of wheels....

Hey Guys,
I'm also looking for some new wheels for my Scrambler. I have aluminum
American Racing's on now, with 33 X 12.50's. My Jeep is Black, with silver
lettering and tonneau cover. The AR's are silver (an older style, i'm not sure
what series/name). I'm going up to 35's, and some new wheels would be good. I
want to switch to steel wheels for off-road durability. Short of taking some
wheels to the powdercoating shop, has anyone seen steel wheels availible in
anything besides white and black? White would look very out of place, and
black would be too much black on this Jeep.
I'm going to keep looking in the classifieds and eBay for some steel wheels,
my local shop cuts me good deals on coatings.

Thanks in advance,
Don W

What about the old standby Chrome? I know their out there.
I'm looking for a set myself. Cragar some in chrome but I'm
not sure about the quality of Cragars these days just because
of the cheap prices I see people asking for them. Was a time
that a set of Cragars were the ---- but now I don't know. Now
that I checked again maybe it's the painted wheels that are
cheap. check out this item on ebay: Item number: 2472967836

Well, anyone with the insight and good sense to quote Dr. Deming in their
marketing moves to the top of my list.

If you don't know who Dr Deming is, don't be embarassed, neither did the

Whatever.
I personaly found the post polite and on topic. Didn't bother me a
bit.
I've been thinking of having some bike parts pc'd and now I've got a
lot better idea of the things I need to know and do to prep the
pieces. Also, I've been looking for more info on JetHot and it's there
too.

Of course, if he posts it 6 times in the next 36 hours, this attitude
might change<g>.

If you've got the room and want to set up your own powdercoating system,
it's quite easy. Eastwood sells a kit and all the supplies. From there, all
you need is an old oven and an air compressor. I started with the Eastwood
unit and then got a commercial unit when I started soing it as a sideline
income. Also check out www,columbiacoatings.com. They have some neat colors,
and also have pics of a guy who powdercoated the body of his Jeep! Just
click on the customer pictures link and go to the bottom of tha page.
