Smokin' After Carb Rebuild
I just rebuilt my carb on a '79 CJ with a 360 Motorcraft 2bbl. When I
went to fire it up it refused to start. I opened the choke plate and
eventually got it started but it's smokin' up a storm.
Where do I look first in the carb to remedy this?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Smokin' After Carb Rebuild
Usually either the float is too high, the needle and seat are leaking, or
the economizer valve (same as a Holley power valve) is leaking at the gasket
or has a ruptured vacuum diaphragm.

Re: Smokin' After Carb Rebuild
I would check the float needle and level first.
