thanks - would love to replace the Carter - dont have enough $$ at the
moment however...
pictures definitely would've helped with the choke linkage, but not
with the stepper motor... still not sure what to do.

I imagine that a lot of the regulars have added so many terms into their
spam or kill files just as I have and I am sure I miss a number of
legitimate postings.

I did, however, see your post and while I did have some ideas the most
prominent thought was this is a question for Mike Romain and I haven't seen
him since I got back.

back together, bent the choke linkage slightly and will see soon enough
if its all about right.
of course, in the process i have discovered a host of other problems...
almost all of which relate to the emissions system. but thats a whole
nother post.
BTW billy ray, i sent mike an email directly - he once emailed me about
a carb problem i was having so i had his address - but havent heard
back from him yet...
all in all it seems to me like this might have to become a moderated
list... sure there's plenty of discussion about this already so i'll

I suspect that either ignoring the little twerp or buying him another
goat to replace the one Bill stole would get him to go away eventually.

Or a rebuilt replacement... if for nothing more than to follow the below
advice to attempt to get the original back together.
