I like the look of the AEV heat reduction hood. Quadratec sells them, and
they look sharp. I know that they also sell fenders by SRC that look pretty
good.

I like the look of the AEV heat reduction hood. Quadratec sells them, and
they look sharp. I know that they also sell fenders by SRC that look pretty
good.

Why does AEV bother with a "heat reduction hood"? I wheel in the
deserts of SOCAL and my essentially stock Jeep engine with a 2-core
radiator NEVER overheats while doing slow-speed rock crawling in temps
that are rarely below 100 degrees. I suspect the AEV hood is mostly for
looks since the 4.0L does not have any sort of reputation for running hot.
