Congrats, Kate! My TJL is white too, with a grey top. Love going
topless myself, though I haven't lifted mine off yet. (Must install a
winch - the Unl. tops are heavy and I can't do it by myself.) I'll
have photos up soon.
Per your query, OEM hItch receivers for TJ's are dirt cheap. Check

The OEM wiring harnesses are top-quality and come with an insulated
standard RV plug that mounts directly into the electical box on the
reciever. Very nice, tidy design. Highly recommended. I installed
everything by myself with no welding in about 2 hours.
I don't know squat about winches - others here can help with that, I'm
sure. Haven't bought one myself, but I'm pretty sure I'll go with the
aluminum OEM front tubular bumper when I do. I'm an Urban Crawler and
don't get up into the hills often enough.
