I am not sure how the spare will fit on the original mounting because
I have yet to get a spare tire. I only bought 4 tires to start out
with. I do need to get a spare. I did find a spare tire mounter on E-
Bay that replaces the original mount and moves the bigger tire up and
out 2 inches to accommodate for the tire's size. Shipping and all, I
think it was about $65. I am wondering though.....I have heard that
the bigger tires weight tends to somehow "bend" the tailgate, so I am
thinking about getting a spare tire mount that is fixed to the rear
bumper. However, they cost upwards of $150-$200. I am not sure if a
31 inch tire compared to my current stock 28 inch tire will make that
much difference as far as the added weight and stress on the tailgate
and its hinges. I know a 33 or 35 inch tire probably would make a
difference though.
As for the Dana axles, I have 30 in the front and 35 in the rear. I
do not have the ABS, and my gearing is the 3.07.
