Re: realisitic blue book value?
Thanks, Roy. Good point about the season. I drove it all year round, so I
didn't give that much thought. I think I'll wait until April to advertise
it.

Region does make a difference. I have the advantage of living in Texas
and people come from all over the country to buy in CA and in TX. The
internet also opens up your market base. I sold my 4Runner to a gal in
IL and my Tahoe to a chap in AL. Definitely, put in on TraderOnline or
Ebay Motors.

Re: realisitic blue book value?
The various books tend to vary quite a bit in accuracy depending
on which area of the country your are in. I tend to like NADA in
the midwest. KBB seems to show quite a bit of variation from what
I would consider a 'reasonable' number.
Of greater concern is that soft top Jeeps tend to have a really
wild fluctuation depending on the season. In the north, you can't
give away a soft top TJ from November to March, so NO book is
reasonable. Then the price spikes by a couple thousand going into
May.
I would have a look at the various on line listings of autos
www.cars.com
www.carsoup.com
autotrader if you have one
You need to advertise yours in the same range as what else is out
there reguardless of what you think it is worth.
Cheers.

on which area of the country your are in.
Cheers.

The higher ones are to make consumers feel better. As for being off
by $1100, you can go that far simply by changing the mileage or
paint and body condition.
