After having suggested Bill ------ for this several times, I will in
fact not propose him as it is now apparent he is afraid of AUK and
repeatedly snecks it from posts in RAMJ+W. (I have substituted it for
RAMD here to illustrate this.)

Instead, I will nominate miguel, who seems to be more interested in
AUK's than most other groups he frequents.

As for Bartlo, while his death was tragic I see no reason to do more
than add "Memorial" to the title, for his Usenet persona was as it was,
and did set a standard by which others are judged to this day. However,
if this is not acceptable I would advocate the alternate title "The Bill
------ Burning Emerods Award" as a substitute.

I'd thought of Spermwhale Russell but she fears AUK. Mind you, Ed
Wollmann has been getting brave and posting into AUK and alt.----nozzles
but he doesn't quite fit the bill, he's almost lamer than Dimmy.

As for the renaming of the award, just add "memorial" to it. Something or
someone should remember the poor guy *somewhere*. He left his mark almost
no place else.
