Re: 1992 Jeep Air Conditioner Conversion
I did the exact same thing to my 90 xj. I had a shop put a vacuum on it and
they left they gauges on it for a few hours with no loss of vacuum. then i got the conversion kit from wal mart and proceeded to convert it. then with the engine running and the a/c turned on to max (leave doors open so a/c won't shut off. mine took one can of oil and 5 cans of 134a. don't rely on the sight glass. fill by pressure. that was a year and a half ago and it still blows cold (just not as cold as r12) "MWB" <mark.bickford@verizon.net> wrote in message news:uQRTa.23487$0F4.15887@nwrdny02.gnilink.net... > I have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee. more better to fill by weight - especially w/R134A

Re: 1992 Jeep Air Conditioner Conversion
Agreed, but you can get close with number of cans. If he is using the same
size cans that I do, five cans is three pounds, twelve ounces.
