Indeed, I wouldn't even run 33's on a D35.

driven Real Jeeps, or Fords, or Chevys, or old Scouts, and Dodges that
come stock with Dana 44s.

Running 33's on a D35 is a good idea only if you need a good excuse for the
wifey that you need to buy a new axle..."See how the wheel can just pull out
from the axle, honey?"
A 35" tire will just make the excuse come sooner...I'm still waiting for mine
to go...

At least you have a trailer to get it home. I use to carry a hub
puller so I could remove the ring gear:
