Powertrax
I have a 2002 TJ sport 4.0 with Dana 44 with the trac lock and a dana
30 in the front. I would like to know if anyone is running a
Powertrax in the front. I know that in 2wd it does not have any
effect, but in 4wd it will work. I use my jeep for offroading on the
weekends but also use it for work. If there is alot of snow on the
road and I shift it into 4wd high will the handling be very different?
I know on the trail it will be great but I just want to make sure
that if I am on the road with it in 4wd that it will not cause a big
problem.

Re: Powertrax
In 4wd on a snow-covered road, you will likely have steering problems and if
you have to drive on snow-covered roads much in 4wd, I wouldn't install a
front locker. Or at least not an automatic locker like what you're asking
about. It will cause severe understeer on a slick road surface.
