"power" tranny button
('89 Cherokee pioneer 4.0L) I have that "Power/Comfort" button for the
transmission (on the dash next to the rear wiper button) It works intermittently I am wondering if it is the switch itself or a module under the dash? |
Re: "power" tranny button
you are most fortunate in having an all-AMC cherokee; I had one myself, and
really miss it now. The "power" button is for raising the shift-point, rpm-wise, when accelerating under full throttle. My brand new AMC Comanche also has one, and if I don"t use it for long periods of time, I have to flip it a few times to clean the contacts...then it works ok. ; How do you know yours is not working? ? ...."; How do you know yours is not working? ?"... The little light in the
middle of the button doesn't light and it obviously doesn't do it's thing...(ie. power up getting on the freeway or climbing a grade) if it is hot out it works best.
