Pinion Seals
 
Just out of curiosity , is it unusual for both back pinion seals to
start leaking at the same time? 2000TJ at 76k.

That normally comes along with some bad u-joints or a bent driveshaft
causing vibration and yes, I see it lots.

That normally comes along with some bad u-joints or a bent driveshaft
causing vibration and yes, I see it lots.

Yes 35c. That said I had the output shaft replaced orginally because
of vibration problems along with different drive shaft and new
u-joints. 12 months into new output shaft noise is back but no
noticeable vibration. Thought it was tire noise. checked underneath
and noticed both seals leaking bad.

of vibration problems along with different drive shaft and new
u-joints. 12 months into new output shaft noise is back but no

seal is not a pinion seal. That's what confused me.

As I'm sure you know it's not your seals that are making the noise.
So replace your Universal Joints, again and make sure their timing, or
balance are good. That the shaft's not bent. Then double check their
